Prepare to Experience Ecstasy!!!!

So now that we have figured out that you don’t know your purpose I guess you are wondering how do I find my purpose. First you have to submit yourself to God. I’m not going to get into religion but the reason why the animals know their mission is because they are still in tune with God. We have to summit our will to him that created us in order for us to understand our purpose. And once we get to know the one that created us we can question him to why he made us. We have to have some form of spiritual base to guide us. God must be first in everything we do. The Bible says “seek the kingdom first and all other things will be added unto you”. If we seek God first then the happiness will come second, because true happiness is the knowledge of self and God.

Secondly we have to give up the life of this world. What do you mean? You can’t find your purpose if you always high, drunk, sleep, lustful, and not in your right state of mind.  Your body and brain has to be fully operational for this to work. We have to understand that if we have a problem and we go drinking after we sober up our problems will still be there. Put down the poison and ask God to bless you with understanding who you are.

The Honorable Minster Louis Farrakhan said “All of us have the ability to be a vessel of God but that some of us are to dirty to be used.” God may never reveal our purpose to us because we are to dirty to accept it. I used the car example in my last blog so I guess I might as well use another car example in this one too. Well for those of us who know anything about cars, which I don’t know a lot, we know that all cars have spark plugs. The spark plugs are what catches spark to start your car when you turn the key. Now, sometimes if your spark plugs are old, too oily, or too dirty your spark plugs won’t spark and your car will have trouble starting. You may have to try to start your car two or three times before it will start and sometimes your car won’t start at all…Right? We’ve all been there before; sitting out side pumping the gas turning the key…Nothing…Pumping the gas turning the key…nothing…Lol. I hope you understand the example. Well the same applies to you and me.

Our spark plugs are our minds. Every time we try to start something up in our lives we just cant get it off the ground. No matter how hard we try pumping the gas, which is motivating ourselves, we just can’t seem to get started. In life we are the car and God is the driver. But he can’t drive us to where we need to be if our spark plugs are dirty if our thoughts are not pure and clean. If our mind is not pure and clean we just don’t have the same drive as a new car Lol.

Now don’t get me wrong we all have a little dirt on us but just like we take our car to the mechanic for a tune up we should take ourselves to the master mechanic for a tune up too. This all goes back to my first step of knowing God. Life is just like your car, you start seeing that your car has problems and its time to get it fixed. Do you take it to the dealership to get fixed? Well some of us who have money or a warranty will but most of us call a guy that knows a guy, or a cousin, or the dude down the street who fixes cars.   We do that because we can’t afford to take it to the dealership they cost too much. But that cheap mechanic will get it running, but 3 months later something else is wrong because it wasn’t fixed right or they didn’t know everything that was wrong.

Now let’s look at life. God is like the dealership. He is the one that created us. He knows every thing about us. He has all the special tools to fix us and has all the special parts needed. He knows what’s wrong before you know. But just Like the dealership God is too expensive. Not Money but sacrifice. Coming to God to fix our problems may cost us the partying, drinking, smoking, inappropriate sex, the lives that we love so much. So what do we do we go to an alley mechanic, which may be a motivational book, speaker, a close friend, or even a pastor if you don’t move to God after him. And they get us started for the moment but 3 months later we got another problem. We have to realize that we get what we pay for. So if you want to get on that right path try God First. Now I now you are probably thinking of all the famous people you know who don’t put God first and they are successful. The scriptures tell us that God will give the wrong doers success for a short while then will afflict them. So if you notice most stars don’t stay as rich and famous as they are for long. In fact most of them die in debt and in stress. That brings me to my next point.

The third step is redefining happiness. All humans need a few essential things to be happy: food, shelter, and security. The security part is tricky and that’s where the delusions comes in because in security what we are really saying is “I want to be comfortable” and comfort is a state of mind. And when we say “I want to be comfortable” what we are saying is that we want to fit in or be seen as the elite or prestige in this world. So it’s UNcomfortable for us to drive an inexpensive car because if you drive a Benz you look better. It’s UNcomfortable for us to shop at cheap clothing stores because if you have on Gucci or Prada, or Versace you look better even if the outfit in the cheap store looks exactly the same.

Now some of us can argue that we buy expensive clothes and cars and jewelry because it is better material which is true. But that’s not the reason majority of us want it. How do I know? Because most of us wanted it when we were children because on television that’s what they showes us was true happiness. It’s the same today if you have a nice car or nice house you must be happy , so that’s what children base they goals off of, as if the person with the small house and cheap car is depressed, When really it just might be the opposite. While at the career day I ask a boy what he wanted to be when he grew up he said I don’t know but I want to be a millionaire. Our lives are based on material wealth and that’s what we base our happiness on. So we have to redefine our perception of happiness.

My sister Toby asked this in my last post: “Could it be that what makes us happy changes like the phases we go through? Maybe there isn’t just ONE thing that defines happiness to individuals. Maybe happiness is not well defined. Happiness is just an emotion that definition changes for us. Maybe there is nothing that will KEEP you happy for more than a season. “

I told her that we must learn the difference between pleasure and happiness. I will post that in my next blog. But for short, pleasure gives us joy for the moment. It’s like when you’re sad and you eat ice cream it give you pleasure for the moment but its just instant gratification and it doesn’t last for long. This is actually a good indicator that you haven’t found your purpose. Your purpose may never change but your understanding of that purpose will always change. At ten you may just like to play doctor. At 20 you may want to be a doctor. At 40 you may discover the cure for a known disease. In this case your purpose never changed but your understanding of that purpose grew as you grew.  Its not at 10 you play doctor, at 20 your want to be a police officer and at 40 your are a truck driver. That shows a person who doesn’t know they want to do. A good example of purpose development I told my sister is Michael Jackson. You see the change in his music from a child all the way to death.

The fourth step is exploration. When you start on your journey of purpose many times it’s not going to come to you right away. You have to explore and see what fits you and what you like and don’t like. Its like when you play sports, in the beginning all you know is that you like sports. So your parents put in basketball, football, soccer, hockey, and baseball but by the time you get to high school you may say I only like basketball and baseball but you had to explore the other one to see which one best fits you. So it is with life. On your journey you may find you love to write but you have to explore poetry, fiction, research papers to see what best fits you.

The best advice I have ever heard was “just do it”. My Minster in Rockford Bro. Yahcolyah has heard me go through a million ideas. I always come to him and say I have a new idea what do you think. He tells me every time “just do it”. He told me that many of us spend too much time thinking and not enough time doing. Don’t sit on an idea for years just because you don’t have all the particulars. Just Plan to the best of your ability and jump in. You can adjust as time goes on and learn from your mistakes. It’s a book, not sure the name, but it interviewed people who were millionaire before they were 30. All of them started at least 17 other businesses or had 17 other jobs before they found the one that was a winner. When asked did their other 17 businesses fail they said no they were just learning experiences. Don’t be afraid of failure. Every failure is just one step closer to success.

I was talking to my Niece she read my last blog and she asked me “Are you sure everybody has a purpose? Because some of these people I see on the street and standing on the corner can’t have a purpose in life.” I told her yes everyone has a purpose in life. Just because a person is strung out on drugs or has become a alcoholic doesn’t mean that they don’t have a people. That only means they were side tracked a little harder then most of us. All of us are side track by something it’s just that some of us are affected more then others.

My point in saying that is no matter where you are in life right now it doesn’t mean you can’t go out find your purpose and be success at it. The problem is most of give up because we believe it is too late. It’s never too late to be happy as long you are still breathing!!!

Well I think I’m over my time limit I have much more to say but I don’t want you here all day. I hope that I have helped you on your path to finding purpose and Ecstasy.
