Prepare to Experience Ecstasy !!!!

So I was listening to the radio and I heard a Lady on a gospel show say some words about moving into the spirit of expectation. She said that when a woman is Pregnant we say that she is expecting. Her point was even though the baby is not currently there we know that it’s coming, and that’s how our faith should be with God. I said WOW!! That’s deep I’m going to take it a little deeper for us though. Check this out!!  All while that woman is pregnant she is preparing to have her child. She goes to the doctor regularly; she makes sure she eats the right foods; she abstains from things that may be harmful to the baby while it’s in the womb; she may start reading books or get advice on how to be a mother if this is her first time.  When she is late in the pregnancy she may start going to classes that show her breathing exercises and how to properly deliver the baby. And when the baby is ready to be delivered the doctor has to make sure everything is sterilized before the baby comes out. What can we learn from this? We have to keep our faith and Move into the Spirit of expectation.

We all are in dire need of a blessing right now. Something is going on in your life that you have asked god to heal, forgive, watch over, remove, or bless you with something but I believe that some of us have become impatient because we just do not see our blessing coming. So we become angry and upset with God because he has not helped us. You say I’m angry with God. Well of course I don’t believe we sit around saying “God you Know I’m angry with you” but our dissatisfaction with life, our continuous bad attitudes, and our loss of faith is a sign of our anger with God.

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan teaches us that when a baby cries it is his/her prayer. A baby doesn’t know how to call on God so it cries to call on the one God put in his place which is mother. Well many of us have children (or if you don’t have children you have little brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews) and if you have ever watch a child who playing with a toy and can’t figure it out or has a problem he/she can’t solve they will begin to cry ( which is their prayer). If no one comes to that child aid sometimes that child will cry until he has a headache or he may pick something up and throw it across the room to show his frustration. Well we are like children who have problems and cry out to the father and when we perceive that he hasn’t answered us we sometimes cry until we bring pain into our own lives or we walk around angry all the time.

The difference between us and children is that God demands us to be patient in order for us to receive an answer to our prayer. God knows that a baby does not have patience so when he/she first comes into the world and it begins to cry and by nature (Gods will) somebody is bound to answer. But we, as adult children of God, have to be patient and realize that God’s time is not our time. A baby takes 9 months to be produced. Regardless of when the mother is tired of being pregnant she has to wait until the baby is finished forming before she can bring it forth and it if comes to soon she may have complication and the baby may even suffer long term illnesses because of its premature birth. I have friends who have been pregnant and they go to the hospital thinking its time and the doctor will say he/she is not ready to come out yet. And sometimes the mother will induce the labor but we know that’s not safe. The baby comes when it’s ready not when you’re readyJ. Blessings come when they are ready not when we are ready. But we have to have faith that God will always be on time and he will never be late.

My friend asked me recently “do you know why wasp can’t make honey?” I said “why?” she said because “They never took the time to learn”. That’s a simple story but very relevant. We have to have patience and allow the fruit of our labor to grow or in this case the blessings of our prayer to come. Remember that Noah was in the middle of the hot desert building arc for a 120 years. I’m sure he wanted God to bring the rain he promised earlier but God knew that it wasn’t time yet. How patient was he? So in moving into the spirit of expectation we must first learn how to be patient.

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan pointed out to us that in the scriptures it says “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” in his lecture the Minster said “All of us tend to believe in what we see, and that’s natural, but a belief in the unseen is the power of faith and through faith we can accomplish whatsoever we will. There is nothing that stands in the way of our progress but us.” We become our own enemy through our negative thoughts. Never say words like “I can’t”. God is the creator of all things and through him All things are possible (not Some things All things). Remember I said that when a woman is pregnant she abstains from all things that may be harmful to that baby. Well if you are expecting a blessing you have to stay away from those who are harmful to your blessing that means all negative people and pessimistic thoughts. In the Bible when God first gave Moses his mission the first thing that Moses said was I’m not a good speaker but God asked him who made your Mouth. So in moving into the spirit of expectation you must come to recognize the enemy in the mirror and in our own homes.

Sometimes we begin to lose faith that our blessing is coming when the results we want are not visible or it’s not in close sight. We find ourselves sad all the time, depressed all the time, we are pessimistic about everything, and we just kind of go through life with low spirits. But this is what we must understand struggle is ordained for anything that is worthwhile. When you go to work out you don’t expect to be in tip top shape without some sore muscles here and there (or maybe you do and that’s why you are not getting the results you want :-) ). Everything that you have ever gotten, that was worthwhile, you had to work for. Well in waiting on your blessing from God he never said that it was going to be easy and he just said that it would come. In the book of Job God takes everything from him. His Children, crops, cattle, and even his friends and wife call him crazy but through it all he keeps his love for God and he get Blessed with twice as much as was taken from him. So in moving into the spirit of expectation you must come to a realization that struggle is predestined for us.

The next thing that we must do in order the move into the spirit of expectation is to sterilize or purity ourselves in order to birth the blessing in properly. Just as with the birth of a baby if we try to receive a blessing with an unclean vessel we can infect that blessing and cause it to die. Another issue is that we may not be able to receive our blessings because we can’t perceive our blessing. I heard this story one time it goes like this….

A man is sitting on his porch and he gets word that a storm is on the way. A police officer rides by the man house and says “hey we need to evacuate because there is going to be a flood” the man says “no I’m ok because God is going to save me” the police car drives off.

The storm comes and the flood come and the water gets higher so the man moves up the second floor of his house and a boat comes. The people in the boat say “hey come on we are going to take you to higher grounds where it is safe” the man says “no I’m ok because God is going to save me”.

The flood gets higher and the man moves to the roof of his house and a helicopter comes and says “ hey get in the helicopter we are going to take you to higher grounds” the man says “ no I’m ok because God is going to save me”

The man drowns and dies. He gets to heaven and ask God “Why didn’t you come save me” God said “I tried I sent a police car, a boat, and a helicopter”.

The moral of the story is that the man couldn’t perceive the blessing that God sent him. Now why couldn’t he perceive? I don’t know (maybe he was drunk or high.J) but whatever it was it was stopping him from seeing that God was blessing him. I see people all the time saying that they are waiting on their blessing and I always wonder has God already sent it and they  just missed it. So when having a baby the mother goes to the doctor regularly to get a checkup. Well we have to go to our doctor regularly too. Our doctor is God. We have to be stead fast in prayer, charity, and keeping our duty to God (Dust off that Bible or Quran :-) ). So in Moving into the spirit of expectation you have to Purify yourself and make sure you are morally, mentally, spiritually, and physically clean.

The next thing needed is faith. Faith is belief without doubt. According to the Merriam Webster dictionary faith is allegiance to duty or a person; fidelity to one’s promises; sincerity of intentions; belief and trust in and loyalty to God; complete trust; something that is believed especially with strong conviction. Faith is keeping your loyalty to God through all the struggle, pain, opposition, obstacles, rainy days, foggy roads, restless nights, gloomy days, all the times you laughed to keep from crying or cried to keep from dying it’s the absolute spirit of expecting Gods promise to come to you. In the Bible When Jesus was on the boat with his disciples and the winds began to blow and rock the boat the disciples got scared and Jesus said “ye of little faith”. So in moving into the Spirit of expectation you must have unconditional faith.

But what’s the main point in moving into the spirit of expectation? Well if you are expecting a blessing what are you doing to prepare yourself to receive that blessing? You pray for a Million dollars but when you get it what will you do? You say I will start a business. Do you have a business plan now? You pray for God to bless you with your soul mate. Are you emotionally, financially, and spiritually ready for that mate. What will you do when you get it? See sometime God doesn’t bless us because he knows that we are not ready for it. And if we receive it too early we might mess it up. Can you see yourself receiving the blessing? Does it have a face? A name? A personality? A feeling? See this is all connected to the baby analogy because when you are expecting a baby you do all of the above. You name it. You buy gifts and thing it will need when it gets here. You prepare a room for it. But most of all you are expecting it. In the Bible the Children of Israel wondered for 40 years on a trip that only took 40 days because they couldn’t see their blessing. They couldn’t see themselves receiving the promise land from God. So in moving into the spirit of expectation you must be able to see the blessing.

For all of us out there who have a prayer that hasn’t been answered yet I’m asking us not to give up on God. Go back to Church, Mosque, Synagogue, or where ever your holy place of worship is. Stay loyal to him through the hardship. Stop walking around mad with a chip on your shoulder.   Then go start preparing yourself to receive your blessing. In fact act as if you already have it Move into the spirit of Expectation…
